Organic cotton is 100% environmentally friendly. The cotton is produced in accordance with the rules of organic cultivation ensuring:

• strict restrictions on the use of fertilizers
• almost completely closed nutrient cycle
• alternative pest controls such as cotton gauze and harmless insects such as ladybirds.

Sustainable materials, and specifically organics, have shown very strong growth over the past 5 years.

Organic sales experienced growth rates of between 35-40% throughout the economic crisis. Very few companies have organic competence and Vert Compny is a pioneer in this niche that is currently not available in East Asia. 

Vert company is a member of Textile Exchange and a regular contributor to BCI (Better Cotton Initiative). It also has close links with Solidaridad NGO who work with cotton farmers and manufacturers around the world. We have a textile sourcing department in Nanjing, China, set up since 2005, who work exclusively with textile manufacturers and with whom our China office has begun organic production in selected Chinese factories.
